Cobergher cycle route (De Panne)
From De Panne you can easily link up with a provincial cycling route, the Cobergher route. This route (51 km) is named after Wenzel Cobergher who, in the 17th century, drained a large lake for agricultural use. That is how de Moeren - an area in the form of a chess board - originated. During your trip you will become better acquainted with this area. Leave Adinkerke and cycle along the Belgian-French border through the quaint polder landscape, right up to the French-Flemish Hondschoote, which was a very prominent Flemish town during the middle ages. On the way back you go across the French-Flemish Houtland and cycle along the inner dunes of Ghyvelde and Cabour. Only available in Dutch.
