The Coast Walking Route takes in dunes and polders, mud flats and salt marshes, sea and beaches. Plus you can dip into the rich maritime past of the Flanders Coast and relive the Belle Epoque. Two main routes run uninterrupted between the French and Dutch borders: one by the sea, the other inland, with handy connecting paths linking beautiful Flemish coastal localities. Simply decide your route and where to start; then follow the signs at the intersections. Get on or off the Coastal Tram at the dozens of stops along the way. Opt for the bustle of summer or the peace of winter. The Coast Walking Route is 180 kilometres of rambling delight, with 140 intersections creating a delicious walking menu for you to choose from.
