Twee beken walk (Marke-Bissegem)

The 12-km-long Twee Beken walking trail takes you through the valleys of the Markebeek and the Neerbeek to the surprisingly green areas between the village centres of Marke and Bissegem. The children’s farm Van Clé, the play area and the Sensory path create lots of extra excitement along the way. You walk along the river Leie, through a thicket to ‘t Schrijverke, a dead arm of the Leie. The route then takes you past some remnants of the flax industry, little chapels and the Vlienderkouter farmland. The route is easy to follow thanks to a clear map and the hexagonal signs to be found along the way (all text on the map is in Dutch).
